Asheville Parks & Recreation (APR) is bringing imaginative play to neighborhoods throughout Asheville this summer with their Rec n Roll program. The initiative involves a colorful van filled with games, art projects, and fun activities that aim to ignite creativity in children.
The program features various events such as Monday Imagination Days, Wednesday Theme Days, and free pop-up events. According to APR, "Giant building blocks, tunnels, and fun games await on special days of open play geared for ages 1-5 years-old."
For those interested in participating, advance registration is required for Wednesday Theme Days, which are designed for youngsters aged 2-5 years old. These activities "spark a creative bone while having fun – and, often, getting messy!"
To stay updated on the whereabouts of Rec n Roll, individuals are encouraged to bookmark the calendar, follow APR on social media, or sign up for the monthly newsletter. This way, they can ensure they don't miss out on any new stops added by the Rec n Roll team.
In addition to Rec n Roll, APR offers a wide range of programs and events for community members of all ages. Those looking for more opportunities for exploration and connection can refer to the Asheville Parks & Recreation program guide, search programs online, or subscribe to the monthly newsletter.
With Rec n Roll and other APR initiatives, Asheville residents can look forward to a summer filled with creativity, fun, and community engagement.
