Asheville City Council schedules next public meeting for November 18

The Asheville City Council will hold its next meeting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, in the Council Chamber located on the second floor of City Hall at 70 Court Plaza.

The agenda for the meeting is available on the City’s website. In accordance with North Carolina General Statute § 143-318.10, this session will be conducted in person but can also be accessed remotely by the public.

Residents can watch a live stream of the meeting through the City’s YouTube Channel or via the Virtual Engagement Hub, which is accessible from the front page of the City’s website.

Those who wish to speak during the meeting must attend in person and sign up at the door before entering. The public may also send comments directly to Council members by email at ashevillenccouncil@ashevillenc.gov.

Interpretive services are available upon request for those attending in person. Requests should be made using a form provided by the City by 5 p.m. on the Friday before the meeting.

Anyone planning to make a slide or PowerPoint presentation must submit their materials to Maggie Burleson at mburleson@ashevillenc.gov by noon on Monday, November 17.

For individuals unable to participate in person, remote comments will continue to be accepted via email or voicemail through the Engagement Hub until 9 a.m. on November 18. Comments can be emailed to ashevillecitycouncilnov182025@publicinput.com or left as voicemail at (855) 925-2801 using meeting code: 12068.

Free parking for attendees will be available after 4:30 p.m. in two city employee parking lots along Marjorie Street: one lot is located at 55 Valley Street and another at 17 Marjorie Street.
