County of Buncombe issued the following announcement on Jan. 26.

Heads up! Saturday closure at the Landfill and Transfer Station. Due to winter weather conditions, negative wind chill and high wind gusts predicted for Saturday, Jan. 29 the Landfill and Transfer Station will be closed. We apologize for the inconvenience.
