County of Buncombe issued the following announcement on May 30.

Join us for Summer Library Fest on June 4, 2022 from 10am-12pm at East Asheville Public Library!  

Local Grammy-nominated band Secret Agent 23 Skidoo will be playing live! Other activities include WNC Nature Center Animal Tracks, Beach Party Games, Mini Golf, Girls Rock Asheville ‘Zine Making Station and a Mermaid Story Time. 

This FREE event is the kick-off to Buncombe County Public Libraries’ Summer Reading Program that runs June 1-August 31, 2022. Summer Library Fest is designed for kids of all ages and all are invited to attend. Our libraries have more than just books, they are community hubs where folks can find services, resources, amazing programs, and more. Buncombe County Public Libraries promote reading, learning, and discovering. Visit buncombecounty.org/library to get engaged and learn more.
