Haywood County seeks applicants for tourism authority board vacancy

The Haywood County Tourism Development Authority Board is seeking to fill a vacancy for a representative from accommodations with 20 units or more. This position is open to residents who own or manage larger lodging establishments in Haywood County.

According to the announcement, “This is a wonderful opportunity for Haywood County Residents who own or manage lager lodging establishments to play an active role in shaping tourism initiative that benefit our community.”

Interested individuals can download application forms from the county website at https://www.haywoodcountync.gov/9/How-Do-I or pick them up at the County Manager’s office on the third floor of the Haywood County Historic Courthouse, 215 North Main Street, Waynesville. The office is open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.

Completed applications should be returned to the County Manager’s Office or sent by email to Haven Muse, Deputy Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, at haven.muse@haywoodcountync.gov. The deadline for applications is November 28, 2025.
