51.7 percent of Montreat College students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018

In 2017-2018, 51.7 percent of Montreat College students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Montreat College has 795 undergraduate students, of which 50 percent are men and 50 percent are women, and a total student body of 921 students. Of these students, 306 men and 170 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Montreat College with the most participants are all track combined (145), soccer (74) and baseball (68).
