Of the 2,537 people living in Mars Hill in 2019, 43.6 percent (1,105) were women and 56.4 percent (1,432) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Asheville Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 1,151-to-808. In the 65 and over age range, there were 160 females and 125 males.
