Ace Hardware-Weaverville to give away American flags

Ace Hardware-Weaverville will give away free American flags on Saturday, May 28 to honor the Memorial Day holiday.

North Carolina lost 694 soldiers in the Korean war and 1,166 in the Vietnam conflict.

Consumers visiting the store at 136 Weaver Blvd, Weaverville will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW Mars Hill Memorial Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.

This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.

Flags will be available at Ace Hardware-Weaverville while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.

Ace Hardware-Weaverville is located at 136 Weaver Blvd, Weaverville, North Carolina. This location is owned by William Young, represented by Brian Raymond and managed by Kristol Ace.
