Ace Hdwe North Asheville to give away American flags

Ace Hdwe North Asheville will give away free American flags on Saturday, May 28 to honor the Memorial Day holiday.

North Carolina lost 694 soldiers in the Korean war and 1,166 in the Vietnam conflict.

Consumers visiting the store at 812 Merrimon Ave, Asheville will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW Sgt. Daniel Frank Hyatt Sr. Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.

This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.

Flags will be available at Ace Hdwe North Asheville while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.
