The Buncombe County Board of Elections has certified results from the March primary after reviewing audits and addressing challenges. Nearly a quarter of eligible voters participated while updated rules affected some absentee ballots.
The City of Asheville and Buncombe County have introduced North Carolina C-PACE financing for commercial properties. A free information session will be held March 18 in Asheville for interested owners and developers.
The City of Asheville will host a free workshop on March 27 where residents can learn about using biochar in their gardens. Attendees can take home activated biochar mixed with compost while participating in citizen science trials. The initiative supports local sustainability efforts.
