Town of Black Mountain issued the following announcement on Oct. 1.

The Stormwater Program will be giving away trees on Saturday, October 15th that can help with stormwater mitigation. 

Get to know the size and location requirements of the trees with this chart. Which will do best at the location you have in mind on your property?

Remember to locate the tree at least half the mature width from the foundations of structures and always locate your utilities before digging by calling 811 (North Carolina 811 – Dig Safely. Contact 811 Before You Dig (nc811.org))!
