TOWN OF CANTON: Christmas Parade Event Updates
0Comments

Town of Canton issued the following announcement on Nov. 29.

The Town will NOT host a tree lighting ceremony this year as numerous decorations were damaged by the flood.  We have put out decorations from years past that have been in storage and repaired. We understand they are not great, but will give the littles some cheer until next year.

The Christmas parade will start at 6pm on December 2nd in downtown Canton. The parade route will be different this year.  The route will start at Advanced Auto run downtown Main Street.  At the end of the street it will turn down N Main to Depot to Park Street.  The route will continue down Park and end at Advanced Auto.  This will allow everyone the ability to spread out to view the parade.  Please use extreme caution while traveling in this area during the parade set-up and take-down.

Road Closures:  Blackwell Drive will be closed in both directions to through traffic starting at 4:30pm sharp to allow parade entry line-up.  Main Street and Park Street will be shut down at 5:45pm sharp along with all secondary access roads for the parade.  Please seek alternate routes during these times.
