Buncombe County Commissioners reviewed updated financial projections ahead of adopting next year’s budget in June after seeing increased revenues and decreased expenditures this fiscal year so far; they also discussed new strategies around fire district funding and community grant programs while highlighting local student achievement data.

Special Olympics Buncombe County is preparing for its annual Spring Games this May with over 600 athletes expected to compete across two high schools. The event includes community partnerships and a Law Enforcement Torch Run preceding each day’s competition.
