The City of Asheville will host a free workshop on March 27 where residents can learn about using biochar in their gardens. Attendees can take home activated biochar mixed with compost while participating in citizen science trials. The initiative supports local sustainability efforts.
The City of Asheville’s radio show What’s Up AVL! is spotlighting opportunities for public input on its Urban Forestry Master Plan. Residents are encouraged to participate in an upcoming survey or attend a workshop at the Asheville Arboretum.
The City of Asheville will open applications on March 16 for $3 million in federal funding aimed at building affordable rental housing for those experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The program is part of a broader regional effort supported by federal grants.
