Town of Weaverville issued the following announcement on March 21.
ATTENTION: In our further efforts to discourage gatherings and to encourage social distancing to ensure our residents and visitors safety, Town parks will be closed at 5pm until further notice. This applies to all Lake Louise Park and Main Street Nature Park amenities, including but not limited to trails, walkways, playground equipment, picnic tables, shelters, open areas, fishing, etc. Please know that this hasn’t been an easy decision, but the decision has been made with the best interests of our public at the forefront. Please continue to take precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of your families.
