CITY OF GOLDSBORO: Proposed Budget of the City for FY 2022-2023 on June 6

City of Goldsboro issued the following announcement on May 30.

The City Manager submitted the proposed budget for the City of Goldsboro for FY 2022-2023 to the Mayor and the City Council on Monday, May 16. Included in the recommended FY 22-23 budget is a proposed water and sewer rate increase of 20% for all rate categories, and a proposed increase in solid waste commercial and residential rates of approximately 12%. A copy of the proposed budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2022, and ending June 30, 2023, is on file in the office of the City Clerk and on the City of Goldsboro’s website, http://www.goldsboronc.gov/. The budget will be available for public inspection during normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until the budget ordinance is adopted. The City Clerk’s office is located in the City Hall Addition, 200 North Center Street, Goldsboro, North Carolina.

The City Council will conduct a public hearing on the proposed budget and the proposed rate increases during their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, June 6, at 7 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in the Council Chambers located at City Hall, 214 North Center Street, Goldsboro, North Carolina. Any person who wishes to be heard on the budget may appear.
