The City of Asheville and the Asheville Downtown Association have announced a significant change to this year's Annual Holiday Parade due to Tropical Storm Helene. The event will now be a Holiday Jamboree at Pack Square Park, presented by Bojangles. Scheduled for Saturday, November 23, the Jamboree is designed as a family-friendly celebration featuring crafts, games, and activities for all ages.

Attendees can explore a festive Holiday Market showcasing local artists and retailers while enjoying food from various food trucks and beverage vendors. Santa Claus will be present for free photos, courtesy of the NC Arboretum. Entertainment will include performances from local bands, school groups, and dance troupes on the Pack Square stage.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with specific highlights including festive performances from community groups between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., free photos with Santa during the same hours, and the Holiday Market open until 5 p.m. DJ Phantom Pantone will provide music throughout the day thanks to AVL Free Events.

Additionally, the event aims to honor Asheville's local heroes. Mayor Esther Manheimer will act as Grand Marshal in recognition of first responders, civil servants, and volunteers who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to the community.

For those interested in participating as vendors or sponsors, further information is available at ashevilledowntown.org.

The community is invited to join this festive occasion at Pack Square Park for a day filled with holiday spirit.
