Asheville City Council announces March 11th public meeting details

The Asheville City Council is scheduled to hold its next meeting on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 5 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Council Chamber located on the second floor of City Hall at 70 Court Plaza.

The agenda for the meeting has been posted on the City's website. According to North Carolina General Statute § 143-318.10, this will be an in-person meeting with remote access available for the public.

For those interested in watching remotely, the City Council meeting will be live-streamed on the City's YouTube Channel and through the Virtual Engagement Hub accessible via the front page of the City website.

Individuals wishing to speak during the meeting must attend in person and sign up at the door before entering the Council Chamber. Comments can also be emailed directly to ashevillecouncil@ashevillenc.gov at any time.

Interpretive services are available upon request for those attending in person who need them. Requests must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday before the meeting.

For those planning to make a slide or PowerPoint presentation during a formal meeting, submissions should be sent to Maggie Burleson at mburleson@ashevillenc.gov by noon on the day before the meeting.

To accommodate individuals unable or unwilling to attend in person, remote comments via email or voicemail will continue to be accepted until 9 a.m. on March 11. Email comments can be sent to ashevillecitycouncilmar112025@publicinput.com and voicemail comments can be left at 855-925-2801 using meeting code: 11172.

Free parking for attendees is available after 4:30 p.m. in two city employee parking lots along Marjorie Street: Valley St. Parking Lot at 55 Valley Street and Marjorie St. Parking Lot at 17 Marjorie Street.
