Montreat College initiated a comprehensive master planning process this summer and will host two sessions to share information with and hear from the Montreat community.
With funding from the NC Land and Water Fund, The Town of Waynesville, Southwestern NC Resource Conservation Council, Haywood County Soil & Water District, Haywood Waterways Association and additional partners recently collaborated to improve a tributary to Shelton Branch that runs through East Street Park.
This year the parade route will be from Blackwell Dr. to New Clyde Hwy., straight onto Park St. then continue onto Main St. and follow Main to Depot St.
If your home or property was damaged by Tropical Storm Fred and you have not received assistance from insurance or federal disaster recovery, the State now has additional disaster recovery programs that may be able to offer additional support.
The public is invited to learn more about the Pack Square Plaza Visioning Project and to provide input that helps create a shared vision for the future of the area.
