County of Buncombe issued the following announcement on Apr. 11.
Attention high school seniors and their families! The Martin Luther King Association of Asheville & Buncombe County is excited to release application materials for our 2022 college scholarships. An application and other materials can be accessed at http://mlkasheville.org/activities/youth-awards-celebration/. This is open to high school seniors who reside in Buncombe County. The submission deadline has been extended from April 15 to May 1, 2022.
MLK Association scholarships can be used at any two- or four-year institution of higher education in our country! In addition, please remember that UNC Asheville has a Martin Luther King Tuition Assistance Program, which matches MLK Association Scholarships dollar-for-dollar. Therefore, this scholarship could be particularly helpful to students who plan to attend UNC Asheville.
