Of the 2,741 people living in Fairview in 2020, 54.2 percent (1,486) were women and 45.8 percent (1,255) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Asheville Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 59. In the 65 and over age range, there were 257 females and 266 males.
