One of the upcoming events includes a community workshop on April 6, where participants can provide input to fine-tune Recreate Asheville: Shaping Our City’s Parks, the city’s comprehensive parks and recreation plan. On April 13, individuals can explore the equipment and skills required to maintain the city's public safety systems at Truck City AVL.

For those looking to relive their childhood, the Blast From the Past Adult Game Time on April 14 promises parachute games, dodgeball, and other recess favorites. Animal lovers can mark their calendars for the Dog Pawty on April 20, while adults aged 40 and above can dress in white for an evening of music and dancing at the All White Affair on April 27.

Families with young children can join the Toddler Superhero Bash on April 27, where little ones can don their favorite superhero costumes. The month also offers opportunities for creativity with events like Art in Carrier Park and Art in Montford Park for adults aged 40 and above.

Outdoor enthusiasts can participate in activities such as birding courses, knot tying clinics, and glow climbs throughout the month. Additionally, there are various hiking opportunities, including Therapeutic Recreation Hiking, Treks for Active Adults, Naturalist Hikes, and the Greenway Walking Club.

Board game enthusiasts can look forward to monthly gatherings, while bingo nights and black light events add a unique twist to traditional games. The month concludes with the Montford Teen Fun: Glow Night on April 26.
