City of Asheville Cancels April 9 City Council Meeting

The City of Asheville has announced the cancellation of the upcoming April 9, 2024 City Council Meeting. Despite the cancellation, the City Council will still proceed with a budget work session on the same day, beginning at 2:30 p.m. The work session will take place in the Council Chamber on the 2nd Floor of City Hall.

During the work session, it has been clarified that no public comment will be accepted. The decision to cancel the meeting aligns with North Carolina General Statute § 143-318.10, which mandates that this will be an in-person work session. The public can access the session through various platforms available at https://publicinput.com/k4405.

To ensure accessibility, the meeting will be streamed live on Charter/Spectrum Channel 193, the City’s YouTube Channel, and the City’s Virtual Engagement Hub. This virtual option allows residents and stakeholders to stay informed and engaged with the proceedings.
