Dickey Gentry is the latest feature in Asheville Parks & Recreation's (APR) series, APR Innovators. This initiative highlights team members who significantly contribute to the community through their dedication and expertise in providing high-quality recreation programs and maintaining safe parks.
Gentry began his tenure with APR as a facility attendant and has since worked at various locations, including cleaning parks, Linwood Crump Shiloh Community Center, and Stephens-Lee Community Center. Reflecting on his initial motivation to join the department, Gentry said, "Working here keeps you cool in the summer and warm in the winter!"
