Asheville radio show highlights post-Helene housing recovery efforts

The City of Asheville's bi-monthly radio show, "What’s Up AVL!", provides an opportunity for the community to engage with city staff and departments. The program offers insights into various departments and ongoing projects within the community.

In a recent episode focusing on post-Helene recovery efforts, host Sam Parada interviewed Sasha Vrtunski, Asheville's affordable housing officer. They discussed the city's strategies for short-, mid-, and long-term recovery efforts following Helene, as well as resources available to residents.

Listeners can tune in live every Wednesday at noon. For those unable to listen in real-time, replays are available from 12:30-1:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays on WRES 100.7 FM. Previous episodes are also accessible on the City's YouTube channel.
