Asheville seeks board members for local committees; deadline March 9

The City of Asheville is inviting residents to apply for positions on various boards and commissions. This opportunity allows individuals to participate in shaping the city's growth and future, influencing decisions related to policy, service, and education.

Residents interested in contributing their perspective, leadership, and knowledge can apply for one of the many available positions. The city has announced that applications are being accepted until March 9, 2025, for appointments scheduled on April 8.

The boards and commissions currently seeking applicants include the African American Heritage Commission, Audit Committee, Board of Adjustment, Civil Service Board, Design Review Committee, Downtown Commission, Mountain Community Capital Fund Operating Committee, Neighborhood Advisory Committee, Noise Advisory Board, Riverfront Commission, and Sustainability Advisory Committee.
