Mountain Bizorks has rolled out a new cohort for fast-growing businesses in Western North Carolin (WNC), the company said in a release on its website.
"We're excited to welcome such an impressive group of entrepreneurs," Matthew Raker, Mountain BizWorks executive director, said in the release.
The Catalyst Cohort initiative is the latest from Mountain Bizworks, an official non-profit community development financial institution (CDFI).
The cohort began on Oct. 29 and is slated to last until November 2021, the company said in the release. It will provide fast-paced training and hands-on chances for participants to network with mentors.
"It's a multi-faceted opportunity. These companies get the chance to support one another on their respective entrepreneurial journeys," Raker said in the release. "Championing the ups and downs of the economy as a group will reinforce the startup ecosystem's social capital in Western North Carolina. Beyond that, participants will find that the program builds resiliency. It offers an opportunity for catalytic change, in every sense of the word."
