Town of Waynesville issued the following announcement on Sep 10.
Due to the devastating floods the trout race has been rescheduled to Saturday OCTOBER 2ND coordinating with BearWaters Brewing: Riverside in Canton GRAND REOPENING & OKTOBERFEST!
T-shirts will also be sold to support the BUSINESS FLOOD RELIEF FUND. Come out to Support, Celebrate and Enjoy Canton!
The trout race helps to support Haywood Waterways work that includes river clean-ups, assessing streambank damage, and finding the technical and resources to fix the issues caused by these floods.
It also supports Big Brothers Big Sisters of Haywood County to help the youth of Haywood County reach their potential!
