Asheville City government offices will be closed on Friday, April 18, 2025. This closure will affect several city services.

Asheville Parks & Recreation will have its administrative offices and all community center buildings closed on Friday. Additionally, several community events are planned for Saturday, including the Spring Eggstravaganza at Grant Southside Center, Parents Night Out by the T.E.E.N.S. Advisory Club, and Four Corners Bingo at Stephens-Lee Center.
On the following Sunday, community center buildings will also be closed, though outdoor features near these centers will stay open. These include playgrounds, picnic areas, and sports courts.
The Asheville Municipal Golf Course will keep its back nine open, and tee times can be booked at ashevillegc.com. The WNC Nature Center will also remain open, with entry passes available at the gate or online at their website.
Sanitation services are operating as scheduled, with trash and recycling pickup occurring from Monday to Thursday. Water Resources staff will address any water-related emergencies throughout the holiday weekend, while public safety services will function as usual.
