Town of Black Mountain issued the following announcement on Oct. 17.
Rick Burton has joined the Planning & Development Services department as the new Building Inspector.
Originally from the Swannanoa Valley and a graduate of Owen High School, Mr. Burton has more than 21 years of professional construction experience and more than eight years of experience as a building inspector.
He is certified level III in electrical, building, plumbing and mechanical. He has worked for City of Asheville, Town of Chapel Hill, as well as Town of Gardner and Clayton. Mr. Burton also serves as an building inspection instructor at A-B Tech.
