The Bumcombe County Register of Deeds website received an overhaul designed to provide more data related to properties.

The updated website provides additional data and details via a data-heavy dashboard that shows the general public who owns property in Buncombe County., the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce said in its newsletter to members

A significant change to the website, which will likely prove valuable to residents and business owners, is that information generally sought that required submission of a public information request are now available online through the site.

The Chamber of Commerce said this new update will benefit not only citizens but elected officials and business owners, along with anyone else who might need details on property ownership.

The interface of the new website first gives information on how many parcels are owned by corporations, how many are owned by in-state residents. It also offers details on where out-of-state owners reside.
