A ceremony to commemorate Memorial Day is scheduled for May 27 at 10 a.m. at the Western North Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, located at 926 West Old Highway 70, Black Mountain, N.C. The keynote address will be delivered by Harold (Ted) Minnick, Lt. Col. (Ret.), US Army. Additional readings will be presented by the veteran writing group Brothers and Sisters Like These. A recording of the ceremony will subsequently be made available on the City of Asheville's YouTube channel at 3 p.m.
