Haywood Regional Medical Center announced that Haywood Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Center has been designated as a 2024 Center of Distinction by Healogics, a leading provider of advanced wound care services in the United States. The recognition requires outstanding clinical outcomes over 12 consecutive months, including a patient satisfaction rate exceeding 92% and superior wound healing rates.

Chris Brown, RN, CEO of Haywood Regional Medical Center, stated, “This award highlights the high-quality, compassionate care our patients receive each day at Haywood Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Center. The center, part of the Healogics network of more than 600 centers nationwide, provides specialized treatment for chronic wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, and surgical wounds. Its advanced therapies include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, and others, and it offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), which enhances healing through oxygen-rich environments.
