“Haywood Regional is proud to serve as the trusted healthcare provider for this community,” said Chris Brown, RN, chief executive officer of Haywood Regional Medical Center. “As a leader in the region, we are committed to providing exceptional care close to home, investing in the health and well-being of our neighbors, and making a meaningful impact beyond the walls of our hospital. This year’s report demonstrates that commitment in action.”
The report highlights Haywood Regional's endeavors to address healthcare demands by hiring new providers, expanding services, and investing in technology and infrastructure. The hospital's commitment to accessible high-quality care is showcased by the provision of more than $23.6 million in health services to individuals in need, regardless of their financial situation.
Haywood Regional also focuses on creating a supportive workplace, offering over $80,600,000 in pay to approximately 815 employees in 2024. Furthermore, over $43,000 was dedicated to professional development and tuition assistance to foster staff growth and enhance care quality.
