Haywood Regional Medical Center is set to host a free Lunch & Learn seminar on March 19, focusing on the relationship between nutrition and colorectal cancer prevention. The event will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at the Haywood Regional Health and Fitness Center in the second-floor classroom.

Kathryn Darsillo, RD, LDN, an outpatient dietitian and diabetes educator at HRMC, will lead the discussion. Colorectal cancer is common yet preventable with regular screenings being vital in risk reduction. Healthcare providers nationwide use this month to promote screening benefits, healthy lifestyle choices, and treatment advancements.
